Local lingerie producer V.O.V.A. was founded in 1991 in the coastal city of Liepāja, starting as a team of five people. The first collection was created in 1993. The company exports about 30 percent of its production to Scandinavia and Western Europe especially France and Germany, the other half divided between the CIS and the Baltic countries.
